Krystine Ramon
Practice Areas
Ms. Ramon joined the firm as an Associate in January 2022.
Her practice centers around advising Emergency Service Districts and other special purpose district clients in Harris and Montgomery County. For these clients, she attends monthly Board meetings as well as special meetings serving as general counselor and legal advisor to the Board. Ms. Ramon advises the Boards on Open Meeting Act requirements, contracts, property taxation, elections, government regulatory compliance and other various matters. In addition, she handles litigation matters for the firm’s clients when the need arises.
Ms. Ramon began her career as a lawyer in public service by working as a prosecutor in Bexar County and Hidalgo County for five 5 years. Ms. Ramon has tried many cases before a jury from Class “C” misdemeanors to Capital Murder Cases. Ms. Ramon tried one of the oldest cold cases (State of Texas v. John Feit) in Texas from 1960, where she was able to obtain a guilty verdict for the citizens of Texas. After the prosecution was completed, Ms. Ramon left one governmental entity and joined the Secretary of State as a Staff Attorney for the Elections Department. Ms. Ramon worked with the Secretary of State for 4 years advising all 254 Texas counties with election law guidance. While at the Secretary of State Ms. Ramon presented at numerous seminars to help train and educate the counties, schools, and other political subdivisions in Texas regarding Election Laws. This experience gives Ms. Ramon a unique perspective when advising her clients today.

Ms. Ramon was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in May 2014.
Education
For her undergraduate education, Ms. Ramon attended the University of Texas at Austin, worked for the Texas Student Television (TSTV) as a news anchor and was active in the Alpha Phi Sorority where she graduated in May of 2008 with Honors. Ms. Ramon attended St. Mary’s University School of Law, where she was a member of the Nationally Ranked Moot Court Team. Ms. Ramon also attended the University of Innsbruck in Austria as part of the St. Mary’s University School of Law study on “Global Issues and the Institute on World Legal Problems.” Ms. Ramon graduated in May of 2013.
Personal
Ms. Ramon, a fourth generation Texan, was born and raised in Mission, Texas and moved to the Houston Area in 2022. Ms. Ramon has been married to fellow Texan Thomas since 2016. Together they have a miniature poodle “Gingerbread” who does not understand that he is a dog but considers himself a very small human being. When time permits, Ms. Ramon enjoys putting puzzles together, reading, walking her dog, and watching movies.
